A2
A2: Basic knowledge
Deepen your language skills and learn to use everyday expressions and phrases confidently.
Learning goals:

Comprehension and expression: Understand and use sentences and frequently used phrases.

Communication: Communicating in simple situations and exchanging information.

Vocabulary: relatives, origins, education, housing, travel, leisure, festivals, culture and much more.

B1
B1: Advanced language use
Understand the main points of standard language and express yourself clearly and coherently on familiar topics.
Learning goals:

Reading and understanding: Understanding words and simple sentences on signs, posters and in brochures.

Reading texts: Read short, simple texts such as advertisements, menus or timetables and find concrete, predictable information. Understand and write simple personal letters.

Ability to express oneself: Express oneself much better orally and in writing and cope well in different situations.

Vocabulary: everyday life, times, school, climate, migration, recipes, politics, generations and much more.

B2: Independent language use
Achieve fluency and spontaneity and confidently discuss complex topics.
Learning goals:

C1: Expert language skills

Understanding complex texts: Understanding long, complex non-fiction and literary texts and perceiving differences in style.

Technical articles and guides: Understand a variety of technical articles and longer technical guides.

Ability to express oneself more fluently and understandably, both orally and in writing.

C2: Nearly native-level knowledge
Achieve near-native speaker competence and master the German language in all its facets.
Learning goals:

Understanding challenging texts: Better understand challenging non-fiction and literary texts.

Written expression skills: Expressing views more easily and accurately in writing.

Oral expression skills: Express oneself spontaneously, fluently and in a differentiated manner, even in complex situations.

Situation-appropriate communication: Communicate appropriately to the situation and the addressee and confidently handle a wide variety of text types and implicit statements both receptively and productively.

These estimates take into account regular and intensive German lessons as well as additional time for self-study and practice. However, individual differences in learning speed and previous knowledge can lead to deviations.

Writing workshop: perfect your writing skills
The Writing Workshop provides a structured and supportive environment in which you can develop and improve your writing skills. Here are some of the typical components and activities:

Introduction to different types of texts: Getting to know and writing different types of texts such as essays, reports, letters, emails, invitations, minutes, letters to the editor, etc. (as desired).

Grammar and style: Deepening grammar knowledge and working on stylistic subtleties to improve expression.

Conversation course: Improve your oral language skills
In the conversation course we focus on improving your oral language skills, speaking more confidently and clearly, and helping your conversation partner understand you better. Here are the typical components of the course:

Conversation exercises: Regular exercises on various topics, such as everyday conversations, current events, personal interests or specific topics.

Role plays: Simulated everyday situations such as shopping, doctor's visits, job interviews or telephone conversations to practice the practical use of the language.

Vocabulary work: Expanding and deepening vocabulary through targeted exercises and discussions using new words and phrases.

Pronunciation training: Exercises to improve pronunciation and intonation.
